Agree on the ending before the fight

Fred is tied to two distinct ending badges: defeat him, or cure him with the cure potion without killing him. Tell your team which result you want before the final encounter starts.

A player who starts firing while another is preparing the cure can turn a planned cure attempt into a defeat run. If the goal is the combat ending, make sure the group is equipped and ready instead of arriving with most of its resources already spent.

Prepare at the final terminal

In Ricoko’s solo walkthrough, the final terminal is used for fuel, equipment and ammunition before the Fred encounter. The route keeps the Revolver instead of selling it, and preserves Medium Ammo for this part of the journey.

Use the fuel and inventory shown in your own run to decide how much to buy. Leave the terminal with a working bus, a loaded weapon and enough supplies to finish the last stretch. A late equipment purchase should not consume the budget needed to fire it.

• Keep the Revolver if following the demonstrated solo route.
• Buy its matching Medium Ammo and reload before the encounter.
• Check your health, food and wearable equipment.
• Make sure the bus is ready for the remaining ride.
• Confirm that everyone is pursuing the defeat ending.

Follow the final encounter

The solo video reaches Fred around 8:54, shows the story transition and begins the final fight around 9:13. Let the encounter progress through its dialogue and scene changes, then respond to the combat prompts.

Ricoko aims the Revolver at Fred’s head during the fight and recommends that approach. Keep your aim controlled and make room to reload. The video is a compact example of a completed solo defeat ending, so it is useful to watch the final minute before committing your own run.

Confirm the ending result

The badge condition is the defeat of Fred at the last stop and completion of the ride. Reaching Fred is not the same result as finishing the encounter. Once the ending has played, check for Defeat Fred Ending in your badge collection.

If your target was Cure Fred, killing the boss completes a different condition. Plan the next run around acquiring and preserving the cure potion, and coordinate the final action before teammates begin attacking.

Prepare the next run around one improvement

After a failed attempt, identify the shortage that actually ended it: fuel before arrival, ammunition during the boss, or confusion over the intended ending. Fix that part of the route first.
